Letter: Support the Blast
To the editor:
Downtown Bonner Inc. is please to announce we are organizing the 15th annual Bonner Blast Fireworks Display for June 27, with a rain date of July 2.
Saturday will be an action-packed day in Downtown Bonner Springs with the following events: the Bonner Springs Arts Alliance’s Festival of the Arts, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Ice Cream Social with the VFW Auxiliary beginning at 8 p.m. and the Bonner Springs City Band’s Patriotic Band Concert 8:30 to 9:45 p.m. in Kelly Murphy Park; and the Bonner Blast Fireworks Display at 9:45 p.m.
Over the past several years, this celebration has become one of the largest fireworks displays in Wyandotte County. This year’s display promises to be as spectacular as it has been in past years, bringing residents and visitors together to celebrate our great nation’s freedom and independence. Thanks to the generosity of the city, local businesses and residents of Bonner Springs and surrounding areas.
Once again we are requesting contributions to help support this celebration. As in years past, the fireworks display will be entirely funded by contributions. This is an indications of the deep pride and community spirit that thrives in Bonner Springs.
Please consider a contribution of any size to this Bonner Springs tradition, (deliverable to Inter-State Federal Savings, Kobis or Downtown Bonner Inc., P.O. Box 74, Bonner Springs, KS 66012), brought to you by the businesses of Downtown Bonner Springs and the surrounding area.
