New fitness program for kids to start

The Bonner Springs Parks and Recreation Department will offer a Gettin’ Fit for Life after-school fitness program for grades third through eighth beginning this month. The first sessions will be 3 p.m.-4 p.m. for sixth through eighth grades, and 4-4:45 p.m. for third through fifth grades, beginning Sept. 30 and running through Oct. 30.
