The Bonner Springs-Edwardsville Board of Education on Monday night recognized a longtime civil-rights and community crusader. The board agreed to the request, presented by Jerry Jarrett and Bonner SClausie Smith, to rename the district’s Head Start building, at 441 N. Neconi, for Louisa Fletcher.
