Funeral Mass for Sue Marie Mills, 75, of Edwardsville, were Monday, July 21, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Kansas City, Kan., with burial in Edwardsville Cemetery.
Mrs. Mills died Thursday, July 17, 2008, at her home.
She was born May 12, 1933, in Kansas City, Kan., the daughter of James and Beulah Mae Houck. She was adopted by Harry and Wilma Brown of Edwardsville in 1936.
Mrs. Mills graduated from Bonner Springs High School in 1951 and then attended Kansas City Junior College. She was a talented pianist and artist. She married Leo Mills on June 4, 1955; he survives.
Other survivors include a son, Kevin Mills, Charleston, S.C.; a daughter, Jean Crawford, Edwardsville; four grandchildren; a brother, John Houck, Kansas City; two sisters, Darlene Walker, Overland Park, and Mary Christine Smith, Yuma, Ariz.
The family suggests memorial contributions to St. Luke's Hospice, sent in care of Alden-Harrington Funeral Home, 214 Oak St., Bonner Springs, KS 66012.
