Robert "Bob" Leroy Ballentine Valrico, Fla.

A private memorial service for Robert Leroy "Bob" Ballentine, 91, Valrico, Fla., is scheduled.
Mr. Ballentine died Saturday, March 15, 2008.
He was born in Bonner Springs. He served in the Army Air Corp. at Drew Field in Tampa, Fla., during World War II. After the war and 10 years in Bonner Springs, he and his family moved to Tampa in 1955.
Mr. Ballentine traveled extensively, working as a millwright and plumber in Kansas, Florida, Ohio, Louisiana, Arizona and Washington.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Ruth Ella Kahn Ballentine, and two grandchildren.
Survivors include his daughter, Judith Ballentine Neher of the home; sons David Alden Ballentine, Overland Park, and Robert Travis Ballentine, Duluth, Ga.; 10 grandchildren; five great-granddaughters; and a great-great-granddaughter.
