Obituaries

Funeral Mass for Claire Collette (McCarty) Wise, 79 of Kansas City, Kan., were Tuesday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Burial was in Bonner Springs Cemetery.
Mrs. Wise died Saturday Oct. 25, 2008, surrounded by her family at her home
She was born on Feb. 1, 1929, in Stanberry, Mo. She was a longtime and active member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and its Altar Society.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Charles Wise, of the home; four children, Patrick Wise, Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., Dennis Wise, Prairie Village, Michael Wise, Platte City, Mo., and Mary Wise, Leavenworth; a sister, Mary Harris, Wichita, Kan.; and eight grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Susan G. Komen for the Cure or to the church, sent in care of Alden-Harrington Funeral Home, 214 Oak St., Bonner Springs, KS 66012.
