Betty Frances Stinnet 1955 - 2009

Bonner Springs — Services for Betty Frances Stinnett, 54, of Bonner Springs, were Friday, April 24, at Charter Funeral Chapel, Merriam. Burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery, Kansas City, Kan.
Mrs. Stinnett died Sunday, April 19, 2009, at Overland Park Regional Medical Center.
She was born Feb. 19, 1955, in Kansas City, Kan., the daughter of Elmer and Mary Groom Stinnett.
Mrs. Stinnett was employed for 13 years with the Kansas Department of Transportation before retiring. She also was a volunteer for 10 years with the Bonner Springs ambulance service.
Her husband, Claude McKay, died in October 2001.
Survivors include five sons, Dalton Bittner and Braden Stinnett, both of the home, Chayn Bittner, El Dorado, Joseph (Sheri) Bittner, Kansas City, Kan., and Christopher Bittner, Lincoln, Mo.; a daughter, Toni Bittner, of the home; a sister, Joy (Ed) Higgins, Deerfield, Mo.; her stepmother, Penny Cooksey, Kansas City, Kan.; a niece, Rebecca Stinnett, of the home; two nephews, James Stinnett, Deerfield, Mo., and Earl (Lisa) Higgins, Nevada, Mo.; and 19 grandchildren.
