Kenneth Gustav Mueller 1932 - 2009 Harker Heights, Texas

Services for Chief Warrant Officer Kenneth Gustav Mueller Sr. (U.S. Army – retired), 77, Harker Heights, Texas, and previously of Edwardsville, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, at Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs. Burial with military honors will be at Edwardsville Cemetery.
Mueller died Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009, at Scott and White Hospital, Temple, Texas.
He was born April 4, 1932, in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Eleanore Rokavic and Gustav F. Mueller.
He joined the U.S. Army in 1948, serving in the Korean War and two tours in Vietnam.
He retired from the Army in 1981 at Fort Hood, Texas, and moved to Edwardsville, where he worked for Champ Service Line. He returned to Texas after the death of his wife, Marian Woolf Mueller, to be close to his family.
He was a life member of the Bonner Springs VFW Post 6401 and served a variety of post and state offices, including district commander, all state post commander and Veterans Administration Veterans Services (VAVS) officer with the state of Kansas.
Survivors include sons, Kenneth G. Jr., and wife Sharon, Harker Heights, and John R. Mueller and Robert Brigance, Dallas; a daughter, Shirley J. Mueller, Harker Heights; a sister, June Burke, and her husband, Ora, Willoughby, Ohio; a brother, Edward Bartlett, Parma, Ohio; and two grandchildren.
