Glen Woodrow Craycraft 1927 - 2011 Bonner Springs

Services for Glen Woodrow Craycraft, 83, of Bonner Springs, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 2, at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 8616 Haskell Ave., Kansas City, Kan. Burial will be in Bonner Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Craycraft died Monday, Feb. 28, 2011, at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan.
He was born Aug. 19, 1927, in New Franklin, Mo., and moved to the Kansas City area in 1950. Mr. Craycraft was a U.S. Navy veteran in World War II and then had worked for more than 30 years at the Santa Fe Railway as a welder and a carman.
He was an award-winning trap shooter, a longtime member of the National Rifle Association and 7 and 10 Gun Club.
Mr. Craycraft had been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints since he was baptized when he was 8 years old.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Billie F. Craycraft, of the home; foru daughters Patricia A. Stagner, Linda R. Herring and Melody E. Pennock, all of Kansas City, Kan., and Glenda K. Allen, Basehor; two sisters, Johnnie Moore, Lexington, Mo., and Darlene Smith, Billings, Mont.; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
Friends may call at the visitation from 10 to 10:50 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
Alden-Harrington Funeral Home, Bonner Springs, is handling arrangements.
