William M. 'Bill' Hazlett 1916 - 2011 Kansas City, Kan.

Funeral Mass for William M. “Bill” Hazlett, 94, Kansas City, Kan., will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Leavenworth. Entombment will be in Gate of Heaven Mausoleum in Kansas City, Kan.
Mr. Hazlett died Friday, Jan. 7, 2011, at Golden Living Center in Lansing
He was born July 26, 1916, in Lillis. He moved in 1948 to the western Kansas City, Kan., area and lived there until 2000, when he moved to the Leavenworth area due to the Legends area development. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific Theater as a light truck driver and barber.
Mr.Hazlett worked for Phillips Petroleum for more than 30 years, retiring in 1979. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Leavenworth, KS.
His wife of 61 years, Pauline Hazlett, died in 2003.
Survivors include a sister, Rose Skinner of Apple Valley, Calif.
Friends may call at the visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12, prior to the service at the church.
