Lawrence "Larney" Jaklevich 1934 - 2011 Kansas City, Kan.

Services for Lawrence “Larney” Jaklevich, 76, Kansas City, Kan., will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25, at Elm Grove Baptist Church. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Jaklevich died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011, at Kansas University Hospital while surrounded by his family
He was born on Sept. 11, 1934, in Kansas City, Kan., the son of John and Louise (Zagar) Jaklevich.
Mr. Jaklevich had worked for the Union Pacific Railroad and was a lifelong train enthusiast. Larry retired from Reichhold Chemical in Kansas City, Kan., after 32 years of service. He was a proud member of the Animal Cracker Club. He had been an assistant coach for the 3&2 Baseball League in Wyandotte County.
A grandson died earlier.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Anna Jaklevich, of the home; a daughter, Carol Jaklevich, Shawnee; a son, Lawrence P. “Jake” Jaklevich and fiancée, Misty, Grain Valley, Mo.; a sister, Agnes Reed, Kansas City, Kan.; a brother, Paul Jaklevich, Springhill; and five grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the Elm Grove Baptist Church Building Fund, sent in care of the funeral home, 214 Oak St., Bonner Springs, KS 66012.
