Eileene J. Landauer 1925 - 2011 Basehor

Mass of Christian Burial for Eileene J. Landauer, 85, of Basehor, will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 26, 2011, at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Basehor, with burial to follow in Holy Angels Cemetery near Basehor. Friends may call at the visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening, March 25, at the Alden – Harrington Funeral Home, where the Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Holy Angels Building Fund.
Mrs. Landauer died Monday, March 21, at the Homestead of Leavenworth Assisted Living in Leavenworth.
Eileene was born July 15, 1925, in Bonner Springs, the third of 11 born to Leo and Emma Kelly. She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church and its Altar Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Landauer, in 1998, as well as her parents; two brothers, Gene and George Kelly; and four sisters, Mary Gramlich, Helen Mosher Rodina, Pauline Karnaze and Dorothy Baker.
She is survived by her twin daughters, Denese Rys of Independence, Mo., and Denene Dodd of Marietta, Ga.; six grandchildren, Sara, Emma, Michael, Marc, Matthew and Molly; two brothers, Clarence Kelly of Bonner Springs and Thomas Kelly of Kansas City, Kan.; two sisters, Margaret Martin of Warsaw, Mo., and Patricia Frey of Shawnee. In addition, Eileene leaves three generations of nieces, nephews, and numerous cousins and friends to mourn the passing of the Kelly family matriarch, responsible for family reunions filled with games and prizes for the children.
