What are your thoughts about President Obama being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize?

Robin Jones ( in Tonganoxie) says...
“I think it’s going to allow Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi to impose a ‘peace tax.’”
Gloria Brimhall ( in Tonganoxie) says...
“I voted for the man, don’t misunderstand me, but I don’t understand what he’s done that warrants a Nobel Peace Prize. It’s my sincere hope he earns it but at this present time, I don’t understand it. He has hopes and he has dreams, but he hasn’t done anything yet.”
Brady Field ( in Tonganoxie) says...
“He’s the first African-American to become president of the United States. Other than that, he hasn't really done anything. Many of his promises are either stalled for the moment, or put off, such as his promise to close Guantanamo Bay. Maybe the Nobel Peace Prize committee should have waited longer, so as to give a legitimate reason to give him the prize. Instead they award him the prize for ‘his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples.’ Sure, his speeches were good, but as they say ‘actions speak louder than words.’”
