The ULTra T-Pod is the core of the personal rapid transit system set to begin operation at Terminal 5 of Heathrow Airport in London next year. PRT is an automated small-vehicle transportation system that runs on its own dedicated tracks and is touted as being more efficient that traditional transit systems. A meeting of stakeholders for an exercise examining the practicability of a PRT system in the Village West area was held Thursday at the Kansas Speedway Conference Center.
