Komen for the Cure breast cancer fund. Istas said of her idea for the fundraiser, “So many women are affected by breast cancer and I thought I had a good outlet to help.” With drinks, food and plenty of shopping to entice people, Istas raised $1,000 for the charity. Also participating that night, by pledging 10 percent of their profits during the three-hour event was Miller’s Two, which donated $50; Provence on the Prairie, which donated $50; and Magnum Opus, which donated $60.
