Shawnee resident Kent Weatherby spent most of his career practicing law but now is acting on a once latent urge to write. He’s promoting his debut novel, “The Frenchman Ate the Fresh Bread First,” while his second work is at the publishing house and a third book is in the works. He’s pictured here at a book-signing in Lawrence.
