Mad Science of Greater Kansas City paid a visit Tuesday afternoon to the Bonner Springs City Library to demonstrate the effects of oil spills on the environment. Using everyday items like cotton balls, Q-Tips, plastic cups and construction paper, teen participants tried their hand at removing oil from Tupperware dishes filled with water, among other activities.
