Fitness instructor Cindy Grover stretches her leg high into the air during one of the PiYo classes she teaches at the Basehor Community Library. Grover said the classes, which combine Yoga, Pilates, strength conditioning and balance, were an excellent stress reliever.
Chris Maleta holds his 10-week-old German shepherd mix puppy, Roxie. Maleta’s mother, Jan, caught Roxie along with two other stray puppies and found them homes in time for the holidays.
Basehor resident Richard Meleta looks into the woods surrounding his home. Meleta and his wife, Janice, struggle with the constant fear of being injured by a stray bullet or arrow from deer hunters in the area.
